Welcome
We are a group of 9 parents from Hersham/Walton-On-Thames who have formed a fundraising committee to raise money for Cancer Research UK. The motivation behind the formation of our committee was the loss of our dear friend, and popular local mum, to cancer in May 2008. Many of us have family or friends still fighting this cruel disease - it is this that spurs us on to continue fundraising for vital research, despite our loss.
Our main focus in 2009 was an idea which came from our children wanting to do their bit to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Standing outside their children's classroom one afternoon, 2 mums got to talking about the Race for Life and what a shame it was that boys couldn't take part. "What a pity they don't do a kid's Race for Life" - were words that sparked the idea for what is now called "Little Legs for Life"
This is a great way to support Cancer Research UK and be in with a chance to win some fantastic prizes! Registration to the site is simple and payment is completely secure. Prizes vary each week, as does ticket price, but 80% of the profit from each ticket sold goes to charity!!
